Arsenal close to Arthur

Mirror Sport understands Arsenal have made significant progress in their efforts to sign Arthur on loan from Juventus.

The Gunners are currently short on midfield options due to the number of absentees and Arteta would like to consolidate his options with a player from the Brazil international class.

However, it was said in the report that Arsenal would only be able to sign Arthur if the Italian giants could bring in a replacement, with Chelsea’s Ruben Loftus-Cheek on their transfer target list.

Arthur has started just three Serie A games this season and has failed to make the cut since joining the Bianconeri from Barcelona in 2020.
