Ruben Loftus-Cheek has emerged as a target for Juventus if the Serie A side dumps an existing midfielder into one of Chelsea’s rivals, reports say.
Loftus-Cheek faced an uncertain future on his return to Chelsea after a loan spell with Fulham in the summer. Although his playing time increased last season after years of injury issues, his level did not reach the high levels he had previously expected.
Therefore, there were doubts about what role Loftus-Cheek could play at Chelsea. But in a sudden turn of events, he became more and more influential for them once again.
So far this season, Thomas Tuchel has made 19 appearances at Loftus-Cheek in all competitions. Among them, there were seven matches in the Premier League, plus one in the Champions League and the Carabao Cup.
It was a bigger role than Loftus-Cheek expected. In fact, he appeared in the 2018-2019 season in a Chelsea shirt more than in the current season.
However, rumors remain about the England international’s exit.
according to Sky Sport Italia, the latest club to look for Loftus-Cheek is Juventus. They reportedly identified him as a potential replacement for Arthur Melo.
Arthur has not fully met expectations since joining Juventus from Barcelona. Now, the Serie A team aims to get rid of him and Looks like he wants to join Arsenal.
In contrast, their London rivals Chelsea could lose one of their players if Juventus makes a suitable bid for Loftus-Cheek.
The 25-year-old is under contract at Stamford Bridge until 2024. Therefore, Chelsea are under no pressure to let him go. However, Juventus may still give them something to think about.
It’s easy to get Loftus-Cheek for Juventus from the duo
Loftus-Cheek is seen as an easier target for them to follow than Bruno Guimaraes of Lyon or Renato Sanches of Lille. However, the chances of a transfer will depend on Chelsea.
The Blues have good depth in midfield, where Tuchel can bring in the likes of Jorginho, N’Golo Kante, Mateo Kovacic and Saul Niguez.
But to compete on all fronts, they will want to keep as many players as possible. It remains to be seen how they will respond to any attempt to steal the services of Loftus-Cheek.

Chelsea face concerns over defender exit
While Chelsea have a relatively good stock in midfield, one of the areas they have the biggest concerns about is defence.
Cesar Azpilicueta, Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen will all expire at the end of the season. Any of them can negotiate a pre-contract agreement with foreign clubs now.
Tuchel explained how important it was to convince Christensen to extend. However, talks are reportedly not going as smoothly as Chelsea hoped.
At the same time, Barcelona is supposed to have made strides towards signing him as a free agent.
and now, picture claim that Dortmund also want to sign Christensen in the summer.
The German source claims Christensen is “almost certain” to leave. Chelsea have made his contract offer to the central defender, but his father and agent Sten want a higher salary.
in another place, Sports 1 Reporter Patrick Berger said Dortmund were “dealing extensively” over a deal for Christensen.
Berger adds that a renewal at Chelsea is not entirely off the table. However, it seems “unlikely” given the recent progress in the talks.
