USA

As of November 8, 2021, most restrictions on travelers entering the US will be relaxed for anyone who is fully vaccinated.

Those who have had both doses of a vaccine approved by the World Health Organization (WHO) or the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) are allowed to enter the country.

The list of approved vaccines includes the vaccines AstraZeneca, BIBP/Sinopharm, Covishield, Janssen, Moderna, Pfizer-BioNTech and Sinovac.

Canada

To find out if you can travel to Canada, it’s best to use the online ‘Find out if you can travel to Canada’ tool to find out if you’re eligible to enter the country.

On November 19, 2021, it was announced that as of January 15, 2022, the exemptions in admission requirements for certain groups of travelers would change.

Foreigners are not allowed to enter Canada if they have spent any time, including in transit, in South Africa, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Lesotho, Eswatini, Namibia, Nigeria, Egypt and Malawi.

Mandatory testing on arrival has also been reintroduced for travelers regardless of vaccine status, including Canadian citizens and permanent residents, from all destinations except the US. Travelers should also self-isolate while they wait for the test result.
