The Matchday 22 double between Burnley and Leicester has been postponed

Burnley and Leicester City will now only have ‘one’ week at best after the Premier League confirmed on Friday that Saturday’s match between the two clubs had been postponed.

This time it was Clarets who applied for a postponement due to a number of injuries and Covid-19 cases within the first team squad.

Of course, Sean Daichi’s side are also set to play Watford next Tuesday, so it remains to be seen if the situation at Turf Moor improves enough moving forward.

Leicester’s only match in Week 22 will now be at home to Tottenham Hotspur next Wednesday.

This latest postponement means both Burnley and Leicester now have four fantastic league matches to rearrange, with Gameweek 27 against Chelsea now needing to be rescheduled due to the Blues’ qualification to the EFL Cup Final that same weekend.
